A Chetopa Kansas church hosts a traditional Sunday service with a theme of "We Have A Long Way To Go" in honor of black history month.
About 50 Chetopa area residents attended the 29th annual service held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Several guest speakers spoke about why it's important to teach younger generations about America's civil rights movement and history.
Speaker Floyd Cavitt Junior says it's important to celebrate with everyone no matter what ethnic background they come from.
"People just come out and celebrate and you can tell we have everybody in there of all colors, that is what I love about with this, people come out celebrate black history in Chetopa, Kansas" says Cavitt Jr.
St. Paul's also held a free lunch for those who attended.
