Musicians for Miracles

Musicians get together in Pittsburg to benefit a local resident suffering with cancer.

Beth Walker has lung cancer and is married to a musician. The families friends contacted the organization Musicians for Miracles to help organize a fundraiser.

Six local bands played to help raise money for Walker and her family.

Organizer Mark Lockhart says the community loves to get together to help each other in times of need.

"Where we have these benefits, we are never short of talent, it is sort of a circle of love, it starts with the musicians, and the businesses to the people in the community and we give it back to the person who needs it" says Lockhart.

Walker was too sick to attend the event. All proceeds go directly towards helping the family pay for medical expenses.
