Students hold Bake Sale to pay for Play

Updated:

A local high school hosts a bake sale to raise money for it's upcoming theater productions.

Little Mcauley munchkin students dressed up for rehearsal and gave a sneak of their upcoming production "The Wizard of Oz". Cakes, brownies, pie and cupcakes were sold to raise money for production costs. Students say funds will help with set expenses as well as royalties, Broadway plays have financial backers and producers, but with school and community shows it takes donations to help with expenses.

"We have the talent but when it comes for paying for sets and stuff like that, the money is really necessary" says student Samantha Surgi.

The students say they hope the show will be extra special for the director.
