Business picks up at area pharmacies

Local pharmacies spent Monday morning filling prescriptions as some customers rushed to get their drugs before the storm.

Cars were lined up at the drive-thru window at Pronto's Pharmacy in Webb City.  Customers were also inside as people were taking extra caution ahead of the winter system.

Customers lined up at the drive-thru window and also inside to stock up on necessary medications.

"People are very concerned about their blood pressure medication, diabetes, birth control, they want to make sure they have it in their house," says Sarah Baker, a pharmacist with Pronto's Pharmacy.

Pronto's Pharmacy says it will operate Tuesday during regular business hours.
