Joplin Schools tables decision on redistricting plan

Updated February 27, 2013:  The Joplin school board tables a redistricting plan for Joplin Schools.  The new plan would change the school many students attend.

It would require students to attend a school based on their address and changes which middle school some elementary schools feed into.

Officials say there would be a temporary permit process where third through seventh grade students can apply to attend the middle school of their choice.

The school board tabled the issue until March 26 to allow time to get more community input.
