Carl Junction sixth grade girls start their own pet care business

Updated:

Three Carl Junction pre-teens skipped making snow angels on Tuesday.  Instead they've held meetings to market their business re-launch.

The three sixth grade girls are running Rockin' Pet Starz in their spare time.

The girls divide the pet care services between the phone operator, marketing director and assistant.  They've already begun advertising their business via business cards, flyers and even t-shirts.

"We both really like animals and I was pet sitting for my friend and was like 'oh, this would be fun for a business' and so we made it a business and hopefully we can make it into a baby sitting business too," says Maddy Reisinger.

"It certainly is more than I was doing at her age," says Maddy's father, Eric Reisinger.  "I'm so proud of her and just happy that she's found something that she likes to do.  That's what I tell my own customers, is to find a business, do something that you love to do, and that's what she's found, so I just wish her the best and hope that I can support her in any way that I can."

To contact Rockin' Pet Starz call 1-319-759-3145.
