Nevada, Missouri was one of the hardest hit by this week's winter storm. The city received 10" of snow according to our own Doug Heady's records.
There were some downed power lines and tree limbs from the weight of the snow but officials say the outages were mostly isolated to individual homes and are glad there were no big emergencies.
"We've got cable lines and phone lines that even set lower to the ground, we've got several of those that are - they've been knocked off throughout town - a few power lines, not many power lines, we've been fortunate," says William Thornton, the Nevada Emergency Management Director.
Officials did close down city hall early.
