Missouri Budget Cuts

Missouri budget cuts might soon include cutting funding for Vocational Services for the Blind.

The recommendation made by the House of Appropriations committee would eliminate funding but house member Sue Allen admits she thought she was only cutting administrative expenses and not the $2.5 million in general spending for the Blind Vocational Rehabilitation Program. The Department of Social Services say federal money would match every dollars to help operate the program.
