Vinita woman dies in car crash

An Oklahoma woman dies after a crash lands her in a creek.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 46 year old Shelly Long died in the crash around 2:00AM Sunday morning. Troopers say long was driving southbound on a Craig County road when her car hit a bridge guardrail went off the bridge and landed upside down and submerged in the creek.

A passenger in the car was treated and released at a Vinita hospital with minor injuries.
