Kansas DOT numbers from the snow storms

After back-to-back snow storms slammed into Kansas the state's Department of Transportation released some numbers on what it took to clean up the mess.

Crews plowed almost 880,000 lane-miles of highway.

1,200 KDOT employees logged about 80,000 hours in trucks, offices and other areas.

The storms cost the state about $6.2 million and the state's Traveler Information phone line received 74,000 calls.

Road crews used a total of 37,000 tons of salt and sand mix.
