Environmental assessment released of proposed US 69 highway expansion

Findings from an environmental assessment on the expansion of U.S. Highway 69 in Crawford County are now available.

The Federal Highway Administration issued and signed a finding saying the expansion would not significantly impact the human environment.

The proposed corridor would expand an 18-mile section of Highway 69 to four-lanes starting at the Cherokee-Crawford county line and continuing north past Arma.
