A Tornado Alley Outreach Tour made a stop today in the Four States.
Some students at North Middle School in Joplin were able to go inside a portable radar truck and talk with the creator of a Tornado Intercept Vehicle.
A research meteorologist from Oklahoma University was also on hand to talk to students about the science of tornadoes.
"I like to learn about the science behind it because I think it's fun to understand these things, because it's really powerful and it's really important to know when they come and how to stop them, or not stop them but get around them and try to keep people safe from them," says seventh grade student Henry Wallace.
