Joplin officers involved in crash that injures one

Two Joplin police officers in an unmarked car were involved in an injury accident on Friday.

The officers were traveling west on 7th Street when they collided with a driver attempting a left turn onto Florida Street.

Investigators say the traffic light for the officers was green when Jessika Richardson turned in front of them.

The officers had only minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital.

Richardson had serious injuries and at last check was in good condition at Freeman Hospital.
