Search continues for suspected burglar who assaulted a teen

The Vernon County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspected burglar who assaulted a teenager.

Authorities say Michael Chew broke into a house off K Highway near Nevada on Friday. They say he assaulted a 13 year-old boy and stole items from the home.

A short time later deputies found what they believe is Chew's truck on fire and found some of the stolen items along with others they believe might be related to other cases.

Authorities say chew ran into a wooded and might have stolen a truck from a nearby home.

Chew may be driving a red 1989 Ford pickup and is considered armed and dangerous.
