Joplin ArtRocks initiative to highlight city and area artists

Joplin officials have come up with a way to showcase the city's landscape and talented residents.

The initiative called Joplin ArtRocks will allow artists to summit their work to be hung in the mayor's or city council chambers.

There are some guidelines for artwork submitted:

• JPEG files only (at least 72 dpi but no larger than 10 MB)
• Must include description of work
• Artwork limited to landscapes of Joplin

Applications will be accepted from March 18 through April 8.
