Updated March 20, 2013:  The City of Pittsburg tested its storm warning sirens Wednesday.

Officials say there were a few minor problems but their technician is already on them.

The city had spotters at all 13 siren locations.

The city says there will be a monthly audio test on the first Wednesday of every month.  There will also be a weekly silent test every Wednesday.

Posted March 18, 2013:  At noon on Wednesday the City of Pittsburg will be testing their storm warning system.

The city says the sirens will be sounded twice: once continuous and the second in an on/off tone.

The city will have spotters at each siren location but says citizens should contact the Department of Public Works to report any siren not functioning properly: 231-4170.
