Catholic Charities unveils another rebuilt home in Joplin

Updated:

Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri held an open house to showcase another rebuilt home from the tornado.  A brand new home was unveiled Monday on Harlem Street to Marilyn Brown.

A number of volunteers helped to build the home and as part of the open house Brown was given a photo of the home signed by some of those volunteers who helped out in the construction.

Catholic Charities says the homeowners excitement makes it all worth it.

"Her excitement was great, you can just tell the expression on her face today, you know, the sense of worry has kind of seemed to be lifted and a sense of excitement that she now has a home that, a place that she can call home," says Michael Adams, a construction manager for Catholic Charities.

Over 150 homes have been completed by Catholic Charities with 23 homes still under construction.
