Following a record-breaking 2011 and a strong 2012, the mobile storage industry pioneer will double the size of its sales team; filling positions at its corporate headquarters in Kent, WA.
Kent, WA (PRWEB) March 21, 2013
Door to Door Storage, Inc., a pioneer in the moving and storage industry, continues its legacy of significant growth year over year by announcing that it will double the size of its sales team. The additional staffing will work at the corporate call center and help assist customers with their life transitions. The expansion of the Door to Door Storage® sales team is another milestone of growth for the company following the doubling in size of its call center in spring of 2012 to provide additional support hours.
“As the economy continues to recover, we are seeing a country that is much more mobile than it has been since the housing bubble burst back in 2007,” said Tracey Kelly, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Door to Door™. “We are currently preparing for what we expect to be another record breaking year for our company.”
Door to Door correlates some of its growth to a general economic revival. The January 2013 Beige Book from the Fed indicates that economic activity has expanded since the previous Beige Book report, with all twelve Districts recording either modest or moderate growth (Footnote 1).
Door to Door is also serving the college market with specially designed moving and storage packages. A growing sector, overall enrollments have increased 12 percent since 2000, and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) reported 30.7 million college students in the United States in 2010 (Footnote 2). By providing an easy solution to store dorm items during mid-term and summer breaks, Door to Door helps students focus on studies rather than the stress of dorm move logistics.
Expansion of the Door to Door sales team is also in response to seasonal demand as the company, and the moving industry in general, have historically charted more moves during the spring and fall. According to a report released from the National Census Bureau, close to 25 percent of moves take place during these seasons (Footnote 3).
Door to Door has been a trusted partner since 1996 helping families and individuals with important life transitions that include going away to school, job relocations, staging/selling a home, remodeling, or military moving/storage. A pioneer in the portable storage industry, Door to Door provides a host of customer-friendly online resources with capabilities to book moving and storage services online, sign-up for Door to Door’s best-in-class customer protection plan (CPP), and make payments by using either a computer or mobile device. The customer service call center is conveniently open seven days a week. Door to Door customers can connect with each other and the company through its blog plus Facebook and Twitter presence.
“Door to Door is grateful for our many loyal customers. We look forward to the new members joining our sales team and the opportunity for continued growth,” said Kelly.
