BELLEVUE, Wash., March 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Radiant Logistics, Inc. (NYSE MKT: RLGT), a domestic and international freight forwarding and logistics services company, today announced that the Company was awarded honors by the World Cargo Alliance (the "WCA") and World Partner Alliance (the "WPA"), recognized as the WCA's "North American Partner of the Year" and the WPA's "Most Valuable Member – The Americas" at their annual awards ceremonies – both recently held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Members of the WCA Family of Logistic Networks make up the world's most powerful grouping of independent freight forwarders with over 4,800 offices throughout 723 cities and ports worldwide to create more logistics power than all other networks combined. Every year the WCA asks these member offices to vote for the best agent in each of the six world regions. Radiant has developed an extensive network of international partners positioned throughout the world and is consistently proven to be a top performer within the WCA, recognized as the "Best North American Partner of the Year" in: 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011 and the Best World Partner of the Year in 2010 as voted by industry peers. For 2012, Radiant was again recognized as the "Best North American Partner" for an unprecedented fourth consecutive time – a first throughout WCA history.
Additionally, the WPA is a global network of leading transportation and logistics providers that specialize in both air and ocean freight forwarding, and niche/specialized market services. This marks the first associated award the Company has secured since the WPA was recently formed in 2010.
"We are very proud to receive these high honors from both the WCA and WPA," said Bohn Crain, Founder and CEO of Radiant Logistics, Inc. "Congratulations to Michael von Loesch, our VP of International Services, and our entire network of offices across North America – now approximately 100 locations strong. Combined with another award received last October from the Global Logistics Network – we're now recognized in all three international networks we participate. We work very hard to support our global partners with outstanding and consistent service, communication and support – and these awards are examples of that commitment and dedication."
Crain continued: "As a consequence of our aggressive growth strategy here in the U.S., we enjoy increasing amounts of international freight that is available to our overseas partners. Our growing freight volumes, in combination with our network footprint and centralized financial settlement process, has positioned us with a unique, and we believe compelling, valuation proposition for our partners. We hold ourselves out as The Network that Delivers® – and delivering for our global partners with a flexible and comprehensive network to meet their needs across North America. We hope to continue to build on this success and further strengthen our cooperation with our valued partners around the world."
