Outstanding Small Businesses finalists named by Joplin chamber

Updated:

A Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Thursday recognized some of the community's Outstanding Small Businesses.

KOAM's Dowe Quick was the emcee for the luncheon.  Fox 14's Mike Olmstead tried to crash the party.

The chamber recognized finalists in three categories:

1 to 10 employees

  1. AdornAble Inc.
  2. Counseling Associates of the Four States, LLC.
  3. Skaggs Chiropractic, LLC.
  4. SNC Squared

11 to 50 employees

  • Dr. Fly's Salon
  • Kraft Insurance Services
  • TCF Phosphate

Not for Profit

  • The Boys & Girls Club of Joplin
  • Children's Haven of Southwest Missouri
  • The Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity
  • The Salvation Army

The organizers say small business is crucial to the area's economic success.

"We have a lot of talent that's right here in Joplin and saying don't go someplace else and shop - shop right here in Joplin," says Shelly Kraft of the Chamber of Commerce.

The winners of the awards will be announced at the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce banquet on April 25.

Our congratulations to all the nominees and finalists.
