Easter Breakfast at the Salvation Army

The Joplin Salvation Army held an Easter breakfast, serving pancakes, eggs and bacon. Egg dyeing, Easter baskets and an egg hunt was also offered.

The Easter bunny even showed up to take pictures with the kids.

Lieutenant Jamie Curry says that it's all about welcoming those who might not have a place to go to on Easter.

"We wanted to make sure that they all knew that they were part of our family too, and do some fun things with the kids such as a ester egg hunt, and dyeing eggs, and gets to the Easter story and resurrection and get some food in their bellies" says Curry.

Curry says the salvation army is always in need of volunteers.
