Missouri Ethics Commission hold Neosho man accountable

Updated:

A Neosho man is held accountable for financially backing three candidates for, the Neosho city council election campaigns in April of 2012.

The ruling came against citizens for growth treasurer Gene Schwartz from the Missouri Ethics Commission for providing about $3,600 to three candidates, in last years city council election.

Officials say Schwartz and the committee failed to show proof of spending in a timely manner. Schwartz is fined $3,000, unless he pays $300 within about 40 days.

The penalty will stay if the commission finds any other violations in the next two years.
