Ozark Center's Turnaround Ranch installs another new tornado shelter

The Ozark Center's Turnaround Ranch in Joplin installed another new tornado shelter on Monday.

The Ozark Center is installing seven storm shelters at three different campuses in Joplin.

The shelters are made possible through a $30,000 grant from the Joplin tornado First Response Fund.

"It just gives us the security that everybody needs knowing that they are in the ground in a facility that is designed specifically for a tornado," says Rono Bowyer, the Director of the Ozark Center Turnaround Ranch.

Construction started about a month ago and organizers hope to finish in the next couple weeks, weather permitting.
