Children's Lifetime Sports Academy accepting applications

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) -Applications are being accepted for the Children'sLifetime Sports Academy sponsored annually by the Missouri Southerndepartment of Kinesiology.  The Academy will be held from 12:30 – 5 p.m.June 3-6.  All children, ages 7-12, are welcome to attend.

Thegoal of the academy is to teach the skills and to promote the appreciation ofselected activities that can be played for fun, health, and fitness throughoutlife.  Activities include golf, bowling, fishing, archery, canoeing,racquet sports, Frisbee and rhythms.

A feeof $85 per child will cover the four days of instruction, use of facilities andequipment, and a t-shirt. Children and grandchildren of MSSU faculty and staffreceive a $10 discount.
