Heavy rains lead to flash floods across the Four States

Updated:

A strong storm system blows through the Four States overnight dumping rain across the region and tearing up homes in Northeast Oklahoma.

State officials in Oklahoma are meeting today to determine if a tornado touched down outside of Grove.

The Delaware County emergency manager says most of the damage is centered just south of Grove at 360 and 620 road.

The strong winds sucked out several garage doors at the Butler Volunteer Fire Department building.

Four homes in the area were damaged and at least one person reported cuts from broken windows.

Across the state line into Arkansas a local judge declares Benton County in a state of emergency.  The heavy rains created flash flooding this morning, washing over roads and bridges.  Some swift water rescues were also reported.
