Those who live in the Four State area know when Dogwood trees bloom, it's Spring. The Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce and Neosho Rotary Club put together a tour Sunday to see the many Dogwood trees in Neosho, Missouri. The Dogwood tour began in 1961 by the Rotary Club as a way to share the beauty of Missouri's official tree.
"It gives people that maybe thinking about moving into town or looking to relocate somewhere, that they can get a good idea on what our town looks like what we have to offer," says Mel Link with Neosho's Rotary Club.
Plenty of other events were going on in the city, such as tours at the Neosho National Fish Hatchery. Live music was played, and Missouri's Conservation Department was giving out free trees.
