With warm weather, what a better way to spend it than with a picnic to benefit a local women's medical clinic and resource center.
Life Choices held it's annual spring event at Landreth Park in Joplin.
With plenty of activities for the whole family including bounce houses, along with a bake sale and BBQ lunch.
For several weeks now volunteers have been raising pledges, registering supports and collecting donations for a new facility.
"All these people are coming to help celebrate the great work volunteers have been doing the past weeks and we hope to raise $40 thousand dollars" says Rita Lawson.
Proceeds from the event will go to the new Life Choices Carthage clinic, which will be opening this summer.
As of Sunday evening, $33 thousand dollars has been raised.
