Pawprints of the Heartland to be in Pittsburg May 9, 16, 23 & 30

News release from Pawprints on the Heartland:

The Pawprints on the Heartland's low-cost spay/neuter van will be operating in PITTSBURG on THURSDAYS, MAY 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th.

The regular fee for the spay/neuter surgery for cats and small dogs is $35.00.  Assistance is available for low-income, disabled, and elderly. 

Assistance is also available for large dogs whereas surgeries are performed in clinics.

All pets must be at least three months old and on a leash or in a carrier.  Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling 620- 674-8133.

To date, over 70,000 pets have been spayed/neutered in the van preventing the birth of millions of homeless pets.

Pawprints is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping control the overpopulation of animals.  Each year housands of pets in southeast Kiansas must be put to death simply because there are not enough homes for them.  Pawprints' motto is 'PREVENTION, NOT DESTRUCTION."

Bentonville, Arkansas and Poplar Bluff, Missouri will have the organizations that connect businesses, faith based groups and service partners to work with school districts to meet students needs including personal items like shoes to school supplies.
