News release from Joplin Outlaws Collegiate Baseball:

The 2013 season is just around the corner.    The Joplin Outlaw's HOME OPENER is Saturday,June 1st at 7:00pm against the Ozark Generals.  There will be 25 cent hot dogs and a cannedfood drive to benefit Crosslines.

The Joplin Outlaws are a summer collegiate baseball teamthat plays in the MINK "wood" bat league. The team is made up of some local players and other players from acrossthe United States.  This is the 5thyear that the Outlaws will be playing in Joplin at Joe Becker Stadium.  (this is a move for the Outlaws)  We will be helping celebrate Joe Becker's 100thAnniversary as the Outlaws celebrate our 5th Anniversary.

Rob Vessell will once again be our head coach.  Rob is an assistant baseball coach at CrowderCollege in Neosho and has recruited and put together a very competitive team.  Coach Vessell will be assisted by JasonImmikus and Don Lisi.  Coach Immikus isthe pitching coach for MSSU and Coach Lisi is an assistant coach at St. CharlesCommunity College. 

Admission to all home games will be $2.00 for anyone 13and older.  Ages 12 and under arefree.  Season passes are available for$20.00, a savings of $22.00 and are available on our web-site or by contactingMark Rains at 417-825-4218 or at the gate.

            TACOTUESDAYS:  Every Tuesday homegame will have tacos & burritos for sale at the game.  Provided by the Original Webb City TacoGringos!

            OUTLAWSALOON:  Will be open during allFriday and Saturday night home games. Provided by JB's Piano Bar and Missouri Eagle!

Youth Camp will be held on Monday, June 3rdand Tuesday, June 4th from 9:00am – noon both days.  Registration fee is $30.00 in advance or$35.00 the day of the camp.  The campwill be put on by players and coaches of the Joplin Outlaws.  All campers will receive a t-shirt.

FREE Swim with the Outlaws will be held on Thursday,June 6th from 6:30pm – 8:30pm at Cunningham Park swimming pool at 24th& Maiden Lane in Joplin.  The swim isfree for ages 15 and under.

Humane Society Adoption and Food Drive will be held onSaturday, June 15th.  All fansare encouraged to bring items that will benefit the pets at the Humane Society.

OUTLAW CANCER PINK OUT AT THE BALLPARK will be held onFriday, June 21st.  Gates openat 5:30pm with a 7:00pm game time vs. the Nevada Griffons.  Various activities and food along with anauction that will include pink player jerseys, pink game used bats and pinkbaseballs.  Free pink wristbands to thefirst 300 fans.  All proceeds willbenefit the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks!

FUNDRAISER FOR THE TYLER JECK MEMORIAL FOUNDATION willbe held on Wednesday, July 3rd at the JayCee Park in Pittsburg,Kansas at 7:00pm.  Joplin Outlaws vs.Nevada Griffons.  There will be festivitiesand a silent auction.  All proceeds fromgate and auction will benefit the foundation.

Christian Cendeno, Blaine Fisher, Drake Herrman, Christian Arnold, Andrew Vogelbaugh, Jake Durosette, Gage Grant, Lake Keller, Brett Macary, Derek Jacons, Jack Mercer, Jordan Rice and Kyle Sellers will begin preseason workouts with the Gorillas this fall to play in the 2015 season.More >>
