Paycheck Protection Bill passed by Missouri House of Representatives

The Missouri House of Representatives has passed the Paycheck Protection Bill, which will give union workers the option to be in the union.  The bill has been sent to Governor Jay Nixon's office.

Originally, union rights were deducted automatically from employees paychecks, but the bill will require workers to give permission.

Local communication union workers believe it is an inconvenience, while local lawmakers think people should have the option to choose.

The bill exempts first responders such as police officers and EMT's.

We'll have more on the story tonight on Fox News at 9 and KOAM News at 10.
