The Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School celebrated it's 20th anniversary.
School officials kicked off the celebration event Wednesday in the Thomas Jefferson Concert Hall. It included a discussion on the history of the school, highlights of the schools service to the area and of course ice cream.
"We're getting a greater array of kids, the first few years were limited, now we get people from Columbus, Baxter, and Carthage and Lamar, all over the place who come here," says academic dean Steven McCollum.
The school has students in all grades and currently has an enrollment of two-hundred and 95 students.
