Minor damage reported throughout the Four States; no injuries

At least 51 people are dead after a devastating tornado struck outside Oklahoma City Monday afternoon.  The storm leveled two schools and many homes.  Police and fire crews from Joplin left for Moore, Oklahoma on Monday night to help with the rescue operations.

The Four State area has received very minor damage, and no injuries have been reported at this time.

Strong winds earlier Monday evening ripped off part of the roof and tore down part of a brick wall at Spicer Adams Welding on 4th Street in Pittsburg.  Also, as of about 8 p.m. more than 1,100 people were without power in the Four State area, many of those in the Seneca, Missouri area.

Throughout the Four States limbs are down and trees have been uprooted.

Crews have been working to clear streets throughout the area the past few hours.

Earlier in the evening the Bourbon County emergency manager reported trees down, around four inches of rain, and a power outage that lasted about an hour.

The Cherokee County sheriff reported flash floods on secondary roads following heavy rains.

The Crawford County emergency manager told us trees and power lines were down, and while there were no injuries that he knew of, there had been some roofs blown off homes near Pittsburg.

The Ottawa County sheriff's office dispatch reported power lines down and trees down, especially along County Road 130 and Interstate 44.

The Newton County sheriff's dispatch says damage had been reported throughout the area but Seneca seems to have received the brunt of it.
