Recycle Center accepting pesticides in May

News release issued by the City of Neosho:

Do you have old or unwantedpesticides cluttering up your garage or storage shed?

TheNeosho Recycle Center, 4700 Howard Bush Dr., will accept the followingpesticides until May 31:

 

  • Fungicides
  • Herbicides
  • Insecticides
  • Pesticides
  • Fertilizers containing herbicides or pesticides
  • Rodenticides
  • Dewormers
  • Fly Tags

 

The city will then deliver thechemicals on June 1 to a central collection point managed by the MissouriDepartment of Natural Resources.

This pesticide collection eventis to serve local farmers and households. Pesticides from businesses, pesticideproduction facilities, pesticide distributors, pesticide retailers and similarentities cannot be accepted.

The Recycle Center is closed onMonday, Thursday and Sunday. Business hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday,Wednesday and Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
