Google Chromebooks coming to Webb City High School

Webb City Schools takes technology to a new level for students.

The district decided to give all high school students Google Chromebooks next year.  While keyboards proved better for high schoolers, mini-grants within the district brought iPads to elementary teachers to also integrate technology.

Webb City Schools Superintendent Anthony Rossetti says the district has worked two years to implement more than 700 pieces of technology to get students ready for the world market-place.

"We think the academic productivity of our kids could be enhanced by some type of medium other than pencil, paper and notebooks, so it seems logical if we're going to have 21st Century goals, that we provide our kids with the tools to be able to meet those needs," says Rossetti.

The district is not giving up its books but rather blending technology with teachers already successful curriculum plans and using computers and iPads as tools.
