Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins made a stop in the Four States on Thursday.
Jenkins visited Baxter Springs hosting a public listening session for Cherokee County residents. It's part of her Congress to Kansas Tour, which she has done during congressional work periods since 2009 to inform residents what she is working on.
The main topic of discussion tax reform legislation the congresswoman is putting together, the first in the state in 26 years.
"Congress men and women would loose that power to pick winners and losers and get reelection funds if they passed a fair tax or a flat tax," says Gregg Motley, an employee with American Bank in Baxter Springs.
Other topics of discussion included current scandals with the IRS and Begazi, as well as healthcare reform.
