Motorcycle Class at Crowder College

Updated:

Summer is right around the corner, which means more motorcycles on the road.

As a motorcycle rider it's important to remember the proper safety procedures. This weekend Crowder College hosted a motorcycle safety course. The two day course includes class instruction along with technique and simulations on actual motorcycles. The course is designed for new motorcyclists to become familiar with their bike and experience first hand what it's like to take a motorcycle on the road for the first time.

Officials say regardless of what level of knowledge you have with a motorcycle ..the course is suited for everyone.

"We assume nobody's ever seen a motorcycle and we take a building block approach. We start off from the ground floor, build on it, build certain skills and then every exercise builds on what we just learned. So each student grows and develops almost at their own rate" says instructor Gil Johnson.

Crowder College will continue to offer the motorcycle safety courses all summer.
