Monett Man Dies in Flooding

A Monett, Missouri man becomes a victim of floodwaters.

Gene Cable, 72, was killed when he tried to cross a low water bridge Friday morning, in Lawrence County four miles west of MT. Vernon and his truck was swept into spring river. The victim was recovered 200 yards from truck around 7 o'clock last night.

A reminder for us all not to drive into water.
