Labette Co. Man Convicted of Killing Toddler

The Kansas Supreme Court upholds consecutive sentences for a Labette County man convicted of killing a toddler.

Mark Anthony Baker pleaded guilty in July of 2011 to felony murder, child abuse, obstruction of officials duty and marijuana possession. He was convicted in the death of a 19 month old parsons boy. Baker requested concurrent sentences but the district court gave him 4 consecutive sentences including life without the possibility of parole for 20 years.
