Cuttaway Salon Reopens

Updated:

A Joplin salon moves locations and it's new spot features a storm shelter.

The Cuttaway opened originally in 1984 and offers everything from pedicures and manicures to highlights and cuts.

The nine stylists were working after the tornado at 31st and main street, but moved out of the house three weeks ago to their reconstructed salon.

Owner Sonja Harper says the new location is modern and has a lot to offer to it's clients.

"We have a storm shelter a large one, we went through the last tornado and so we have it here for our customers" says Harper.

Trace Hawk was the contractor that built the new business within two months.
