850 riders make their last stop in Galena today in the Biking Across Kansas event.
Riders started on the Colorado border and made 16 stops along the way. It took one week for cyclist to complete the 522 mile track.
Organizers say the event's purpose is to promote health and wellness thru cycling and preparations for next year will be underway again in a month.
"We will review our surveys and then start getting together and talking about what we would like to see next year and see any towns we want to see next year and then start building our route" says B.A.K. board member Loretta Stanzel.
The first Biking Across Kansas was in June of 1975.
