Couple celebrates their wedding with baseball theme

For some...a dream wedding involves a church, or outdoor scenery. For others its a different story.

A local couple celebrated their dream wedding at the Field of Dreams in Baxter Springs, Kansas. It's the happiest day of their lives and they wanted to celebrate it all around what makes them the most happy.

"Everything we've done has been centered around baseball." says the groom, Trevor McLaughlin.

Every detail - the cake, the ring, the guest book, and even the bride's shoes - all come from the couple's love of baseball.

Trevor and his bride, Kathryn have been involved with athletics for years, and Kathryn knew she wanted her day to be about the game, which is why they found the field.

"We met at a baseball field, which is kind of cool. He likes baseball and I like softball." the bride says.

The two became a couple exactly 4 years ago - on June 19, 2009. Four years later, they are now husband and wife, madly in love with each other and their sport.

"He's so much better than everyone else...he just blows me away." the new Mrs. McLaughlin says.

"For me she's the perfect woman. She can be stubborn and bull headed, but that's what makes her her. If she wasn't that way we couldn't get anything done. She makes me who I am." says Mr. McLaughlin.

Their team of family and friends stood right beside them for the ceremony, along with a crowd of fans in the stands. For the two newlyweds, their ceremony was a victory.
