Updated:

A south west Missouri boy raises money to compete in the National Motorsports Association's Grand National Competition.

Seneca student Ayden Adamson is just 12 years old but will soon be riding his dirt bike at nationals. Today Adamson's friends and family got together to sell pancakes to help him raise the $2,000 dollars needed for the trip. Adamson placed 2nd at the Ozark Regional's to qualify for the big race, he says he made it with lots of support.

"I thank all my sponsors and friends and family to get me here, through out my life and if it wasn't for my family I'd never be where I'm at right now" says Adamson.

Adamson will race Sunday in Carthage with the number 74. He will then move on to compete in the Grand National Championship in Oklahoma City, July 21st through the 27th.
