Parsons 4th of July fireworks show information

NEWS RELEASE ISSUED BY PARSONS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Parsons Chamber ofCommerce will host its annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show on Thursday July 4,2013 at dusk at Marvel Park.  Tune into KLKC Radio 93.5 FM forsynchronized music.  No individual fireworks will be allowed in the parkdue to safety reasons.  This event is sponsored by Grandview Products andPower Flame. Something new the Chamber is trying this year is having foodvendors at Marvel Park before the Fireworks Show. Chuck Borggan and Chris Ballwill have their vendor trucks in the park and will be providing concessionsfrom 7pm to 10pm. Once again this year the Chamber of Commerce will have 3Dglasses for the community to pick up at the Chamber office prior to the show.The glasses are limited to five per person. "The glasses are always a huge hitwith the kids, and we were able to find an additional sponsor for the glassesand that made it possible for us to purchase twice as many this year sohopefully we do not run out as usual," said Jonna Gabbert, Director of PR,Marketing and Events, with the Chamber of Commerce. The 3D Fireworks Glasseswere sponsored by CST and Eyecare Associates. Glasses can be picked up from theChamber of Commerce office through 5pm on July 3 or at local fireworks stands. Theevening of the Fireworks Show the remaining glasses will be handed out. Forquestions please call the Chamber office at 620.421.6500.
