Some southeast Kansas counties attended a meeting Tuesday on the impact of the Certified Work Ready Community designation in Jasper County, Missouri.
The meeting, held in Memorial Auditorium and Convention Center in Pittsburg focused on how to become a Work Ready Community and the benefits of becoming one.
Some southeast Kansas counties are currently going through the process and some businesses have already implemented Work Ready Testing.
Officials say the overall goal is for southeast Kansas, southwest Missouri and northeast Oklahoma to become Work Ready counties.
