Operation Car Care benefits single moms in Pittsburg

Updated:

For the past 15 years Operation Car Care in Pittsburg has been making a difference in the lives of local single moms.

King's Automotive and Covenant Harvest Church are joining together to offer free oil changes, car inspections and gift bags to nearly 100 single moms.

They are currently asking for monetary donations and supply gift items, which can be dropped off at either location.

Organizers say meeting basic transportation needs is a huge help to these women.

"The gift bags are just a way for us to bless the ladies in addition to the free service," says Jay Lotterer of Covenant Harvest Church.

"It's a blessing, it's probably the best thing that is around here for single moms," says Kaciy Mariano, an Operation Car Care recipient.

Operation Car Care will take place on July 27.  Registration begins July 15 at Covenant Harvest Church.  Call 620-231-6881 for more information.
