Senator Blunt Co-Sponsors Amendments To Delay Onerous ObamaCare Mandates

WASHINGTON, D.C.In light of the ObamaAdministration's recent announcement that it will delay the ObamaCare employermandate until 2015, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) co-sponsored two amendmentstoday that would delay the individual and employer mandates. The amendments were introduced by U.S.Senator Jerry Moran (Kan.) to the FY2014 Labor-HHS-Ed appropriations bill.

"Picking and choosing which aspects of this flawed law to postpone is likeriding a bike with one wheel – it simply does not work," said Blunt. "I'llcontinue to support efforts to repeal and defundObamaCare so that we can prevent this deeply flawed law from enacting further economic harm to individuals, families, job creators, andall Americans."

Blunt joined his colleagues for a pressconference and signed a letter yesterday calling on President Barack Obama toenact a permanent delay of ObamaCare for all Americans.Blunt also spoke on the Senate floor this week about this critical issue, and invitedMissourians to share their questions about the burdensome law on Facebookand Twitter.
