Access Family Care to be able to help residents navigate Affordable Care Act

People in Southwest Missouri with questions about the Affordable Care Act will soon have a new resource to hopefully make things a bit easier.

Access Family Care has received $140,000 in federal grant money to hire three new workers.  Those workers will help direct people towards the best type of insurance coverage based on individual needs.

Anyone will be able to call Access for help, even if they are not a patient of Access Family Care.

"We will be in the clinics as well as finding partners to be available for the community come in but the community could also come to our clinics to ask for advice and education," says Debra Davidson of Access Family Care.

Access has clinics in Joplin, Anderson, Neosho, and Cassville.

The trained new workers will start meeting with anyone needing help starting October 1.
