Joplin Police searching for armed robbery suspect

News release issued by the Joplin Police Department:

On July 14, 2013 just before 10:00 p.m. officers responded to 1820 W. 32nd Street at Subway for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.  The clerk reported that a white male entered the store and approached the counter where he displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.  The male suspect left the store on foot with an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'6" to 5'7" tall with a medium build.  He was last seen wearing a dark ball cap, dark jacket, and blue jeans.  Attached are some surveillance photos from Subway.
