Freeman names new medical education director 

JOPLIN, Mo.—Freeman Health Systemis proud to announce Dr. Robert McNab's expanded role as director of medicaleducation. Dr. McNab will continue to serve as director of the InternalMedicine Residency Program and as a part-time hospitalist.

As director of medical education, Dr. McNab is responsible for the oversight,administration, and accountability of the Freeman Graduate Medical EducationProgram. In addition to internal medicine, these include the ear, nose, andthroat residency program, the emergency medicine residency program, and allmedical student programs.

Dr. McNab is a graduate of KansasCity University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his internal medicineresidency at Medical Center of Independence in Independence, Mo. He isboard-certified in internal medicine and has more than ten years of experiencein teaching medical students and residents in training.

"Rob has a passion for medicaleducation," said Dr. Richard Schooler, Freeman Executive Vice President andChief Operating Officer. "As a mentor and teacher of future physicians, he willhave a tremendous influence on shaping the future of healthcare for Freeman andour region."
