Be ready for lane and ramp closures at I-44 and Range Line

Updated:

Construction is ramping up on the I-44 and Range Line Road interchange project.  MoDOT will be closing a number of lanes and ramps this week as crews continue to work.

On Saturday, Range Line will close between the ramps on either side of I-44 and should reopen by late Sunday or early Monday morning.

Officials are asking for drivers to be patient.

"It reduces the serious crashes the ones that lead to fatalities and disabling injuries," says Dan Salisbury, Assistant District Engineer.

"If we can get through this weekend and folks just be patient with us we'll have a really good product Monday morning to let everyone, you know, transition through," says Greg Chapman, Joplin Resident Engineer.

MoDOT Southwest Missouri will be updating it's Facebook and Twitter pages:  https://www.facebook.com/MoDOT.Southwest?ref=ts and https://twitter.com/MoDOT_Southwest
